Maldives

The Republic of the Maldives is an archipelago of 26 atolls in the Indian Ocean, made up of almost 1,200 coral islands of which less than 200 are inhabited. With water clear enough to see the passing fish as far as fifty meters away at times, this is when you want to invest in an underwater camera. Although not an African country, Maldives is often combined with an East African safari. The longer travel time for your beach experience is worth it though.
